Property Assessment
Information based on the results of a soil/permeability test and a plan indicating where the drainage trenches can be located in relation to the building area.
Step 1 - Site Inspection:
To assess where soil test is to be performed in relation to slope, vegetation and other geotechnical factors according to AS 1547.

Step 2 - Soil/Permeability Test:
To determine the permeability of the soil for drainage design purposes. Three test holes across the preferred drainage location.
Step 3 - Design/Letter/Disposal System:
A design showing the trench allocation as calculated from the results of the permeability test, as per AS 1547. The trench layout will indicate how many bedrooms will be permitted in the prescribed dwelling area in relation to the disposal system.
Step 4 - Council:
A copy of the letter and plan is submitted to Council for scrutiny and approval. All assessments require Local Authority Approval before designing a home and commencing building on the land.
